Good news, perhaps.
In a finding that could have implications for the 2016 presidential campaign, the poll also found that two-thirds of Americans say they are more likely to vote for political candidates who campaign on fighting climate change. They are less likely to vote for candidates who question or deny the science of human-caused global warming.
Among Republicans, 48 percent said they are more likely to vote for a candidate who supports fighting climate change, a result that Jon A. Krosnick, a professor of political science at Stanford University and an author of the survey, called "the most powerful finding" in the poll.

Wow; nearly half of Republicans. Even those who wrongly believe creating a green economy will somehow "hurt" favor climate action.
How long until those other polling data catch up to reality?
Do those displaced by Hurricane Sandy feel inaction hurts less? Do drought stricken farmers think IS militants are a more pressing issue (as someone in the polling article states)?
The real reason this isn't champagne popping good news is that politicos lag far behind their constituents. The fealty of the Right wing to the moneyed Kochs of the world is unrelenting.
We can only hope that their brazen preference for cash over the electorate's desires will become obvious to the overwhelming majority before the climate is long poast any major tipping point.
