CNBC has
upped the ante: GOP candidates must have an average of at least 3 percent in nationally recognized polls in order to make the debate stage on Oct. 28. Of course, that means several candidates that made the first two debates even though they were polling below that are now in jeopardy of missing the cut-off. Just who might that be, you ask.
The Real Clear Politics average gives us a pretty good idea even though it's not perfect because CNBC is only using polls released between September 17 and October 21 from these outlets: NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, CNN and Bloomberg. But it looks like Chris Christie and Rand Paul might have to take their
catfights to the kids table.
And what a shame that Mike Huckabee's on the chopping block after that transcendent moment he shared just a couple weeks ago with the now Pope-blessed Kim Davis. Wonder if that means he's fallen into disfavor with the big guy upstairs, who apparently favors Ted Cruz.
And if John Kasich manages to crater, that will be the best news Jeb! has had since he announced his candidacy.
