Republican presidential ex-candidate Scott Walker famously opined that he would make a good commander-in-chief because of his experience battling Wisconsin unions. Carly Fiorina declares that
she's prepared to fight ISIS because she has a bachelor's degree in medieval history and philosophy.
No, wait, hear me out on this one.
Pressed to explain how her bachelor’s degree in medieval history will help her in dealing with ISIS, Fiorina listed off a number of brutal techniques that ISIS is using that were common in medieval times and said it is not an exaggeration to say that the group is operating under a mentality based in the Middle Ages.
“Every single one of the techniques that ISIS is using, the crucifixion, the beheadings, the burning alive, those were commonly used techniques in the Middle Ages,” Fiorina told reporters during a media availability.
Well, that and aggressive use of social media like Twitter. And the gasoline powered horseless carriage. And heavy artillery. And, um—
You know what? Fine. It's still better than her previous pitch, which was that she'd take over ISIS in a corporate power play and then lay everybody off.
