A college degree results in much higher earnings over a lifetime. That, is a proven statistic. Did you also know that New Hampshire has the highest student loan debt on average per Debt.com as of late 2014? Per the Huffington Post article I reference here, the six highest student debt States are in the Northeast, important early Presidential primary states. As the article states, private school debt is astronomically higher.
The fact is, Bernie Sanders has the most aggressive student loan platform of any candidate...well Hillary has piped in now but sorry..Sanders has been tooting this horn way before she ever did.
If you are a Republican voter and have ignored this issue, then you have to be in the class of the most uninformed voters out there. There is about a trillion dollar student loan bubble, and although it is not eminently bursting, it is nevertheless a formidable entity to have to deal with.
So, if you have middle schoolers ready to go to high school, a President like Bernie Sanders could be very beneficial to have on your 'how do I fund my kids college' side.
From a Presidential debate and public relevance standpoint, Sanders beats the field. Then there is Trump who took a million dollar loan from his Dad to start his real estate business. The deck is stacked for the rich, not the common person, which includes most Republicans. Something to think about.
