So, Mr Trump was asked this morning if he was strong on defense. Somehow he wove his way from discussing ISIS, Syria and Putin to the state of the US’s Airports (specifically the runways). Trump discussed being bogged down while spending huge amounts of taxpayer money on military interventions and juxtaposed it with the abysmal state of the nations airports. While I agree that Laguardia is a dump, are we to infer from Don’s message that he supports government intervention in upgrading our nations air-hubs? Hm. Obama has “Obama-Care”. Maybe Don could have “Trump-Ports”? At least he might see the value in targeted Socialism?
The Federal Government (AKA the US taxpayers) already subsidize commercial airports. Kind of like food stamps for capitalists who like to fly planes! Maybe they could get air-stamps? It seems like Don might be hinting at expanding this social program and really giving our airports the boost that the private sector seemingly failed at miserably.
So, it would seem that Don is to the left of Bernie when it comes to socialized Air Ports. Now if they could just come up with a microphone which could be heard more than 7 feet away from your gate.
