Bernie Sanders continued to step up his policy differences between he and Hillary Clinton, taking Clinton to task for not supporting two plans that would help middle-class families in the United States.
In a statement, Sen. Sanders said:
I am disappointed that Secretary Clinton does not think we should join every other major country in guaranteeing health care through a cost-effective, Medicare-for-all, single-payer system that would save the average family about $5,000 a year.
Further, I am surprised that Secretary Clinton now opposes Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s Family and Medical Leave Act which is supported by 19 other Senate Democrats and more than 100 House Democrats.
The middle class is disappearing and we need bold action to rebuild it.
The destruction of the middle-class should be one of the central topics in ANY campaign in 2015. Hillary’s proposals, thus far, have been, as Bernie’s aide said, “Republican-Lite”.
Her lack of support on the FMLA is particularly disappointing, as it would provide guaranteed leave for all American workers for only $1.38 a week, or 0.2%.
We need better than status quo. Vote for Bernie Sanders.
EDIT ===============================================================================
Further evidence on the Gillibrand Bill, since there seems to be questions from the Hill people:
Clinton has spoken out forcefully for the concept of paid family leave but not embraced the particular measure because it violates a campaign pledge not to raise taxes on families making less than $250,000.

Not sure what else you need. Sorry that Hillary is Republican-lite, I guess?
