1)
Bernie has a wonderful sense of humor.
--
2)
Bernie is no conservative or liberal, but both.
He is economically responsible and pro-business like the Republicans (claim to be), but also socially responsible and pro-people like the Democrats.
As mayor of Burlington, he ran a tight ship on a tight budget, grew the economy, and attracted local business by creating trade associations, giving new entrepreneurs start-up funding, and offering technical assistance.
Some Republicans even said he managed to “out-Republican the Republicans.”
Yet he also protected low-wage workers, financed training programs for women, implemented neighborhood planning assemblies (NPAs), raised taxes on business, and created organizations to empower the people, including a Youth Office, an Arts Council, and a Women’s Council.

3)
During his time in the House of Representatives, Bernie passed more amendments than any other representative serving with him.
His work included reducing the cost of college, expanding free health care, holding the IRS accountable, cracking down on child labor, increasing winter heating funding for our poor, and fighting against corporate welfare.

4)
Bernie has been called a “stealth politician” because “people think he’s just this guy who has super-liberal” tendencies, but he’s actually “a brutally successful political knife-fighter.”
--
5)
Bernie loves poetry, and has written some of his own, mainly about poverty.
Burlingtonian T. Alan Broughton remembers a time at a coffeehouse event when Bernie “started talking about how much he liked poetry, how much it had always meant to him.. and then, before we knew it, he was reading a couple of his own poems, which.. had a passionate Beat Generation kind of intensity to them, about the poor, of course..
“Then, suddenly, there he was reciting from memory ‘Do Not Go Gentle,’ by Dylan Thomas, reciting this rich rolling Welchman’s poem in a heavy Brooklyn accent.
“And it was kind of wonderful, you know?
“He was loving the poem, letting us see him love it, and reading it totally unselfconsciously in this utterly inappropriate accent, and I felt then for the first time how great it would be to have a guy like that as mayor of my city.”

6)
Bernie understood the reasons for poverty and crime way back in the ‘90s and was passionately explaining them to the House of Representatives.
They didn’t listen.
--
7)
In the Senate, Bernie has been no less productive than in the House.
He has protected our troops, greened our government, restricted the bail-out to protect U.S. workers, helped veterans’ kids, exposed corruption in the military-industrial complex, and supported treating autism in military health care.
He is a ranking member of the Senate Committee on the Budget, and serves on the Committees for Children and Families, Veterans Affairs, and Clean Air and Nuclear Safety, as well as six others.
--
8)
Bernie is an exceptional compromiser.
Also in the Senate, he got “the first-ever audit.. of the Federal Reserve.., a cause that Republican congressman Ron Paul had been pursuing for decades.. Sanders was able to get the votes to do it by forging a compromise.”
With the Affordable Care Act in danger, he leveraged his influence to win free health treatment for 10 million Americans.
He even worked with Republican John McCain to overhaul the Veterans Administration.
“McCain praised Sanders’ work on the bill in an interview with National Journal [and] Senator Jack Reed [said]… the bill would never have passed without Sanders’ ability to bring the parties to a deal.”
--
9)
Bernie has always thought globally.
He was one of the only mayors in America to have a foreign policy.
At a debate on the subject in 1986, Burlington’s Republican Party chairman “argued that city officials who couldn’t resist getting involved with foreign policy should move on to bigger things. A person like that should run for Senate..
“Or even for president.”
--
10)
Bernie is beloved by his constituents more than any other senator in the United States, with the highest approval rating (83%) in the nation.
--
11)
Bernie’s views are mainstream— as “American as apple pie.”
The rest of the United States is just as democratic socialist as he is, and, if everyone voted, he would win.
He is of Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower, FDR but far better because he’s anti-racist.
--
12)
Bernie is not lying to you about the corrupt system.
Congress doesn’t care at all what you think. This is an oligarchy. We have third-world poverty here.
Wake up.
We need someone who does not accept any drug/prison/Wall Street/gun/oil money.
We need someone who is propelled forward on the backs of the people getting screwed by the drug/prison/Wall Street/gun/oil money.
--
13)
Bernie is telling you the truth about this election.
“I do not say, ‘Elect Bernie Sanders for president, I'm going to solve all of these problems.’
We need millions of people to stand up and fight back, to demand that government represents all of us, not just the one percent.
I'm trying to create a movement.
That is what my campaign is about – that is not what Hillary Clinton's establishment campaign is about.”
He is not trying to claim his election will fix everything, but calling for the only thing that will fix everything— the people getting aware, angry, and active.
--
14)
Bernie is the most honest and favorably thought of presidential candidate in either party.
--
15)
Bernie is the most electable candidate in either party.
He beats the Republicans more soundly than Hillary Clinton does.
If he wins the primary, he will win the general.
In fact, he’ll crush them.
—
We need the man who’s thorough, effective, and wise.
Do not be fooled by the mimics.
Do not be fooled by the naysayers.
He will win.
He will be effective.
He’s gotten things done for the people his whole life, and he’s not simply trying to win himself the presidency to battle with Congress—
He’s leading the Revolution to transform America.
Vote for Bernie in the primary.
If he loses, vote for Hillary in the general.
You’ve got nothing to lose,
but an end to corporate welfare and 3rd world poverty,
health care and education for all,
a living wage and a Wall Street crack-down,
the chance to live in a real democracy.
Do not blow this chance, America.
Destroy this oligarchy.
