The court in Collin county has denied Ken Paxton’s efforts to have the charges against him dismissed.
The Court, having considered the evidence, arguments of counsel, and
applicable case law, finds the allegations in the Defendant's First Application for
Writ of Habeas Corpus as the Statute Is Not One Under Which Paxton Can Be
Charged to be without merit. It is thereby ORDERED that the Defendant's First
Application for Writ of Habeas Corpus as the Statute IS Not One Under Which
Paxton Can Be Charged be DENIED.
Paxton’s lawyers are considering an appeal.
