By way of explanation my computer has been down with a virus requiring me to replace my computer. Which was done by one of my sons this Xmas. So I have been cyber-ally incapacitated. I haven't been ignoring the requests to keep writing, I have been unable until now. (still making the transition from Windows 7 to Windows 10) You may tell me not to bother to keep writing after reading this. I hold out little hope for a good outcome to the election.
Right now if I was to vote it would be for Sanders. He is the only candidate who does not continue to see capitalism as it is practiced by Wall Street as the means of providing equity for the poor, unemployed, huddled masses of Americans still suffering from years of a bungled, mismanaged and hijacked economy which exists to serve the wealthy classes and keep them down. I don't think Sanders has a chance to win but voting for a winner in this election may very well make you and the rest of us all big time losers.
The Republican branch of this political sideshow looks like a delegation handpicked by Wall Street. I view Trump as the incarnation of Benito Mussolini and Ben Carson the incarnation of ‘Buckwheat' of the little Rascals, or possibly Sara Palin. Trump is as brash and disgusting as one feels after having stepped in dog shit. Carson doesn’t seem to have a clue while just being a damned nice guy who's trying to help and has no means to do so.
Of course Jeb Bush comes with a long history of family baggage beginning with his grand daddy’s financing of the Nazi war machine in preparation for WW2 and onto the United Fruit Company in Central America extending through several political black holes to the present day when we see the Bush family has gotten the entire world into war as a result of destabilizing the middle east. Thank you G.W. for all your help. No Jeb, the world cannot possibly survive another Bush presidency!
The Republicans have allowed a smart woman to enter the race. Apparently the embarrassment they suffered the last time they encouraged female participation in the electoral process was a lesson. Trump made note of that in his usual offensive and derogatory manner.
Of course the Democrats have a woman by the name of Clinton running. She's a shill for those holding the reins of the economy, the very ones who destroyed the American Dream. She is politically savvy and in my opinion not to be trusted to help those who need help. She has always been a friend of capital. That the American people have any respect for the Clinton’s and their legacy indicates to me the American people deserve her. She’s no Emma Goldman that’s for sure and it is unreasonable to think her presidency will be an improvement..
However when the day to vote arrives I shall be voting for Bernie if the opportunity allows me to do so. Bernie comes across as a man who knows what the problem is caused by and how to fix it. But with a congress taking it's cues from Wall Street we can expect the same kind of roadblocks the Repukes put up to hurt the American people during the Obama experience.
I did read a headline today that may make the Repukes take notice. This will be fun to follow-up on. Franklin Graham, the evangelical leader, has spoken out and said he will not support the Repukes in this election due to the moral failure of their platform. If the Repukes feel they may lose the evangelical vote they may find themselves trying to come up with a new set of lies to get them back.
Get some popcorn, sit back and don’t take any of this too seriously; this clown show will be a bunch of laughs. This nation really needs a good laugh.
