Why do people called it gun violence instead of guns? When people who are against guns (as I am) say these people were victims of gun violence as opposed to these people were victims of bullets or a shooting it is not only inaccurate but it is already ceding the argument to the NRA and gun nuts. As though the gun has a choice to be violent or not. The gun is made for the sole activity of being violent. It never has the choice of being a non-violent gun.
This has always annoyed me and I just saw this little video which repeated it. If anyone has a legitimate reason I'd love to hear it.
