On April 20, 2015 at 12:30pm Pacific time, University of Victoria graduate student Mike Irvine will attempt to make history by defending his Masters thesis in real-time from the depths of the Pacific Ocean. The underwater presentation is believed to be the first of its kind. His thesis is entitled: "Underwater web cameras as a tool to engage students in the exploration and discovery of ocean literacy" and the presentation is 15min followed by questions from the committee.
