Pat Robertson has been around at least a hundred years (or maybe it just seems that way), giving us the low-down on why disasters strike the cities and states he considers to be modern day Sodom and Gomorrah's. He usually points out that God is giving these places "the business" because of the sinful ways of their citizens, their lack of laws prohibiting anything that smacks of joy/fun or it's Obamacare (the root of all evil). Texas and the surrounding states have suffered horrible devastation from all types of terrible weather the past few days. While my thoughts and prayers are with all of the people and communities who have been so adversely affected and my hope is that they will recover and be able to re-establish their lives soon, I'm wondering what message Pat has received from God on these occurrences. He's usually able to clarify quickly for us just who God is punishing and for what when a natural disaster occurs.
I don't mean to diminish, in any way, the suffering and pain of the folks in the currently affected states, but I believe the folks in the places Robertson has disparaged in the past with his thoughtless, cruel pronouncements on why God "punished" them were just as deserving of the kind of love and compassion the folks in Texas, etc. deserve now.
HEY PAT! Maybe, just maybe, it's the weather and the climate change affecting it and not whatever behavior you (on God's behalf) deem unacceptable.
