No, this is not an emergency by any stretch of imagination. If you haven't seen me around it has been because I have been rather busy. They put me on full time salary at my old job at the beginning of April and I was behind on some thing so I was working a lot. Was, that ended 2 weeks ago. I had decided I couldn't be a member and employee at my work so I gave them a month and a half notice. I asked to be taken off salary at the beginning of June so I could look for a new job and get ready to move (lots of change going on in my life right now and things are fluid), they did and then fired me 2 days later. I didn't get along with one of the other people that worked there and it seemed like they were trying to make my job more difficult. Again, don't worry, I was only unemployed for about 16 hours. The day I was fired I interviewed at a nice little Tea House and Cafe owned and run by two ladies in their mid fifties. I left it at I would come have breakfast and a working interview. Well, yeah got the job. They were trying to get rid of a cook with a bad attitude and a case of misogyny. I told them I would work for them until I found something better and they had to get him out of there, they did and I did. Well after 5 days working there I decided I wasn't going anywhere, jump below the croissant to find out why.
I have been wanting to move more into bar tending and out of the kitchen so those were the main jobs I was looking for although I was covering my bases. Well I didn't get the one awesome bar tending job with benefits. The other job I actually turned down was camping for free in the Columbia River Gorge and serving at a Cafe at a white water place probably averaging 25 bucks an hour. Well I found out my grandmother has liver cancer and has 6 months max, I couldn't commit to camping in the woods for 3 months, gotta get back to see Gran. So I committed to where I worked, because they kinda loved me already and I love them too and they close at 5:30 every day which is rare in this industry.
This is the place I work at now. https://www.facebook.com/...
So, about the ladies I work for. Both are two of the most free spirited independent strong women I have ever met in my life. Jovial and full of life and fun. The woman whose concept it was I don't know a whole lot about but heard she grew up in Malaysia because her parents were some sort of volunteer peace corps types, not sure. She is eclectic and original to a T and has run other businesses before. The other woman ran a woman's hospital when her mother who owned and ran it forever began succumbing to dementia. Fun loving and always smiling I love her too and stronger than most any woman I know. She's been confronting forced birthers since she was 12 and a could threatened her because of her mothers business. Love her to death.
Then there are the other people I work with, two of which are awesome. One is a younger quirky one of a kind lesbian who just proposed (on my first day) to her trans woman partner. She dances around the place purring like a cat sometimes, it's cute and I absolutely have a great time working with her. One of the other women I work with and I became fast friends. After 2 days she had asked both of the owners "Drew is so sweet, can we keep him." Well yes they can, I love that place and they all feel like family already. Which brings me to the help part. Because I will be off by 6 or so at least 4 days a week if not more earlier outs, that leaves me the possibility to find another job. Well I had been thinking about a BBQ food Truck for a while and I stumbled across this.

It's so cute.
So this is my plan. This little food truck is small enough to park anywhere. I plan to drive it to work at the Tea Room and smoke meat all day. Then when I am done just walk to my car and sling BBQ out of it for a couple of hours. So I have set up a go fund me account.

I am trying to get enough that my parents will match and I will only have to get around a 12,000 dollar business loan. The payments on that would be 250 buck a month which I could pay making money or not. I know the goal says 15,000 but I like to swing for the fences. I can probably talk the guy down to 16 or so and I need another 3 grand in equipment. I already have my menu dialed in and ready and my business plan will be done on Tuesday. Any money raised from here at Dailykos will either be paid back or paid forward when I can afford to, my word on that. If you don't have money to spare please don't donate, likes, shares and tweets help too and of course recs please. It seems gofundme.com is down right now, so try when it gets back up. So what do ya'll think, do I have a good plan or what. Fill the Village with the aroma of smokey meat and sell just enough to leave them wanting more, I like it.
Thanks for the consideration.
