Bruce Rauner, newly minted governor of Illinois, just signed a bill to allow hunting of bobcats in the state, again. I don't write many diaries, and rarely on political topics (chicken, I guess). But animal welfare and conservation is something I care about. And 'my' governor just signed a bill that allows rich, white trophy hunters to get something for their wall that, until a little bit ago had been protected. Bobcats in Illinois don't harm anyone. They don't even hunt livestock (I don't think - they're not very big). Rauner has been a predictable disaster for Illinois to date. But, because I care, this puts it over the top for me in a very personal way. Anybody agree? Link below the orange Bobcat tail.
I sorry! Link added, I hope. Below.
Tell Rauner what you think.
