Mars Panorama - Curiosity rover: Martian solar day 1065
I did not attempt to embed out of concern for their policy on non-commercial sites.
This is a must-see pic for people interested in what's happening on Mars with Curiosity.
Curiosity has been climbing up the side of Mt Sharp and is, in this interactive panorama, on a hill overlooking the floor of Gale Crater.
Go to the site, click "full-screen" and marvel at the detail and the panorama.
In the upper righthand corner is a set of symbols, the first one is full screen, the second one hides/unhides other controls on the page and the 3rd on, 3 little dots, that is a menu of options to further your ability to look at minute details in this stunning photo.
Check out "Little Planet" View. Odd but entertaining. A tiny image is embedded above.
On the lower left hand side are the controls to spin the pic as well as magnify/reduce. The pic is listed as 30000 X 15000 pixels, so there is some magnificent magnifyin' to do.
If you like this sort of thing, that is.
The photo is made up of images taken on day 1065. The image appears to have been updated. We are now on day 1085 on Mars.
