So we hit the goal Jekylnhyde set for my fundraiser and a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. The rent check I was finally able to cut is in the mail to the landlord and I have enough to wait on the insurance to get sorted out about my wages. The place I work for is still gonna be closed for at least another 2 weeks but it is all down hill from here. Through the hard work of the Community Fundraisers, generocity of donors, and well wishes and rec's of everyone I am at ease in knowing I don't have to scramble and hustle for money. I can focus on what I like to do in my off time which is helping people.
Just last night I donated my time to cook fish and chips at the Elks Lodge where I an a member. Proceeds go to the Veterans Comitee for their various programs including bingo for the Vets up at the VA. Dollar a card win for the Vets and we go up there the third Wednesday of every month and play until we run out of our budgeted money. The other night I made friends with a lot of the homeless in the neighborhood park, this guy busted out his violin.
I can't tell you how much I love my new place or how thankfull I am to this entire community. Know that your generocity will be paid for times over both here and in meat space.
