A thought I've had for a while about the appeal of Trump and Sanders among people who desire change from "Government as Usual." I hope this might be inspiring, as well as useful in appealing to a sense of empathy rather than selfishness. Here's a link to the original photo; feel free to share.
With these two candidates, we come to a crossroads of immense importance in our collective desire for a change from the status quo.
Do we take the path of egotistical nationalism that caters to our selfish pride—or do we choose the candidate with grace and compassion, whose policies seek to benefit the people of America in the long run, who can help bring out the best of people in this country?
The choice is ours, and this may be a tipping point with repercussions lasting decades, even if the status quo is upheld yet again.
