Following up on the question asked of Donald Trump in New Hampshire about "Muslim Training Camps in America" to which The Donald responded "We're going to be looking into that", after saying in response to the claim that the "President isn't an American, He's a Muslim" not a flat denial and correction of such an outrageous deluded lie "Right".
Anderson Cooper confronted Trump supporter Andy Dean, president of Trump Productions, about it and things quickly devolved from there.
Dean said it's “not accurate at all” to say that Trump said “we’re going to be looking at Muslims." He said the GOP frontrunner meant he would be looking at potential radical Muslim training camps.
“We're going to be "looking at that [the potential training camps]". You may laugh it off, but there are potential reports of Muslim radicals,” Dean said, before Cooper interrupted.
“Andy, I’ve spent more time overseas than you ever have in your little life, so don’t tell me about I’m laughing this stuff off,” Cooper said.
So Trump didn't actually say he's going to "look into Muslims", but at the same time "there are potential reports" of Muslim radicals and "training camps" and of course Donald Trump
did just say he was going to "look into
that", but not "Muslims"? Yeah, ok. That's as clear as wet dirt.
The conversation then devolved into a Passport-Off with the two arguing over which of then had spent the most time overseas in countries like Afghanistan or Iraq until Dean finally admitted he really hadn't been in countries like that very much - because - Radicals.
“Not much in the Muslim world, because I don’t want to get killed,” Dean responded.
Anderson then turned the question back to the claims made by man in New Hampshire where Donald Trump said "Right".
He's not an Islamophobe. There was a lunatic in the audience. Look, Donald laughed off the crazy man. Donald Trump does not believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim. But if you look at things he's doing, and his mid-east policies with this Iran agreement. It puts all of us in danger and that is very, very serious. Radical muslims are a serious problem.
So it takes a "lunatic" to believe that the President isn't an American? You have to be a "crazy man" to believe that he could be Muslim? That he just might be deliberately undermining the U.S. in allowing terrorist training camps to flourish a secret plot to satisfy is true Muslim masters overseas?
Just how crazy all of that truly is we will explore over the flip.
Cooper did apologize for losing his temper.
But the point is that he has plenty of reason to be frustrated because it was Anderson Cooper himself who recently confront the Lord, God, King of that particular batch of "Crazy Men", Donald J. Trump, as shown by his response to Anderson's question about his crusade to reveal the "Truth" about the President just a couple months ago.
I don’t know. I really don’t know,” Trump replied. “I don’t know why he wouldn’t release his records.”
Trump went on to remind Cooper that Hillary Clinton was also a birther once, and that she demanded Obama release his records as well. Trump ended up doing what she couldn’t, and succeeded in getting Obama to “reveal something,” even if they were not his real records.
Notice what Trump didn't say? He didn't say
the President is an American Citizen. He didn't say that the Birth Certificate he provided before he was first elected
was perfectly fine in the first place , which it is, and the
long form certificate confirms that. People like Trump simply wouldn't believe the truth, and because of that he had to send his attorneys all the way to Hawaii to retrieve the long form because that state has
very strict privacy laws. There was no "conspiracy" to hide the truth, the truth was
already out there, he never should have had to confirm it
again in the first place.
As far as the "Crazy" spreads it seems like it's reached the majority of Republican Voters.
A majority of Republican voters, 54 percent, think that President Obama is a Muslim, according to a new survey from the left-leaning Public Policy Polling (PPP).
Asked whether they thought Obama is a Christian or Muslim or if they were unsure, 32 percent said they were unsure. Fourteen percent said he was a Christian.
54 percent is pretty high but what's even more shocking is that
only 14% believe the Truth. In fact only 29% of Republicans think President Obama
is an American. A larger number, 40%, actually think Ted Cruz was born in the U.S.A. when in fact,
he was born in Canada.
Unfortunately the crazy idea that there are current muslim terrorist training camps inside the U.S. is a growing idea among Republicans as reported by the Washington Post.
The idea that there are 22 (or, in some iterations, 35) terrorist training camps in the United States appears to stem largely from a 2005 report from the National White Collar Crime Center, a nonprofit organization that receives federal funding. The report, "Identifying the Links between White-Collar Crime and Terrorism," focused on a group called Jamaat Ul Fuqra and the ways in which it used white-collar crime to fund its activities.
Quick question, who was President in 2005? Would anyone in their right mind suggest that
that President in 2005 was ignoring terrorist training camps in the U.S. while he was in the midst of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars?
Nope, Didn't think so.
There's even a 35 minute scary video.
The report includes a map to these various "compounds".
Conservatives have taken that map and attempted to link them to various "bombings and murders" in a "cause/effect" relationship but what they seem to be being ignoring is the fact that a much of this socalled "nefarious activity" by Fuqra took place in the 1980s and 1990s and isn't current.
A lot of the Fuqra's nefarious activity occurred in the 1980s and 1990s. The point of the White Collar Crime Center report, after all, was that Fuqra was involved in white-collar crime, like workers-compensation fraud. That's tough to pair with spooky music.
Somehow a group that used to have some facilities involved in workers compensation fraud
20-30 years ago have been morphed into "terror training camps", simply because the people involved are Muslims.
And then there's the rural town of Islamberg in upstate New York which is an enclave of African-American muslims who have built a community of their own to get away from the noise and crime of big-city Brooklyn. Anti-Muslimists believe this is the national headquarters for the "terror training camps" but the local Sheriff Deputy Craig Dumont who said this about it when asked by WND.com.
Dumont told Klein his office has been inside Islamberg on a number of occasions and that he has been “perplexed” by recent news media reports of alleged jihadist training camps.
“It’s kind of perplexing to us,” he said. “All this recent media attention in regard to potential terrorist training camps and things that are going on there. We don’t see it. We just don’t find any of that to be valid at this time. … There are no active threats that we are aware of at this time.”
This is on top of the
NYPD Mosque Surveillance program which has been searching for "Radical Muslims" in several nearby states since 2002 and found nothing.
Mapping of Muslim Communities: The NYPD’s Demographics Unit (now the Zone Assessment Unit) has mapped neighborhoods predominantly occupied by 28 so-called “ancestries of interest”—i.e., national origin associated with Muslim populations—as well as “American Black Muslims.” The NYPD expressly excluded from its surveillance and mapping activities non-Muslims such as Coptic Christian Egyptians or Iranian Jews.
Let me say again, they found
nothing.
So all this "terror training camp" nonsense is just a big fat Nothingburger. Just like the claim that our President isn't an American, or that he's a Secret Muslim.
He's neither of these things.
Do we have more potentially deadly Islamacists in the U.S. like Major Hasan, the Boston Marathon Bombers or the attempted Time Square Bomber? Sure. Just like we have more deadly White Supremacists like Dylann Roof, or Right-Wing Anti-Cop murderers like Jared and Amanda Miller, James Von Brunn, Richard Poplowski, Byron Williams or Eric Frein who killed a Pennsylvania State Trooper because he Hates Cops.
Unfortunately there's a big pile of crazy going on and IMO most of it is coming from the hard-core wing nut section of the Conservative movement which is rapidly becoming their majority.

12:33 PM PT: Another Trump supporter loses it totally when asked about President Obama being "Muslim", claiming the media wouldn't ask this of Chris Christie or Jeb! Bush (yeah, kinda they would if someone said to them - "Obama isn't an American" it really the fact that Trump supports take that idea as a given and Trump lets them roll with it without contesting them).
Stating she was “bedazzled” by the question, Johnson stated that it was understandable because there “are a lot of feelings out there about the immigrants coming into this country.”
When talk turned to President Obama –and the Trump supporters who believe that he is a Muslim — Johnson took offense in a breathless rant, complaining about the president being disrespectful to Israel’s leaders, that the media is going after Trump, and that fellow candidates Jeb Bush and Chris Christie aren’t being held to the same standards as Trump. CNN producers were forced to lower Johnson’s microphone because she wouldn’t stop.
