Here's a little preview of what we can expect from now to November, presuming the Republican Party's five remaining non-lunatics don't manage to somehow pry Trumpism off of the party's radiator grill.
Bob Sutton, chairman of the Broward County GOP Executive Committee, suggested Clinton would be easy to debate in the general election.
“I think when Donald Trump debates Hillary Clinton she’s going to go down like Monica Lewinsky,” Sutton told the Post.
It's funny how Republicans are quite certain that Trump's xenophobia, rampant sexism, and general all-around assholism doesn't "represent" their party, even as GOP executive committee chairmen giddily hitch themselves to all three. Expect more of this as Trump's behavior behind the podium encourages other party wags, mostly the various stains on humanity that the party proper pretends do not exist, to bluntly speak their minds now that bluntly speakin' yer mind has been given a new renaissance by their yapper in chief.
Meanwhile we've got conservatives from Newt Gingrich to Ann Coulter praising the genius of Trump's empty-headed "foreign policy" pronouncements, and party elders staying conspicuously mum on whether they still agree that deporting 11 million people would be an insane idea or whether they're warming to it. Trump leading the party is going to be considered a breath of fresh air to every bigot and sexist in the party, and if you think people like Bob Sutton will be able to keep their mouths shut from now to November, you don't know people like Bob Sutton.
Have fun with that, Reince! Might want to stock up on liquor and breakfast cereal!
