I think it needs to be made perfectly clear to everyone. The situation today is very much as it was in the late '20s, when we had extreme wealth disparity & were on the verge of a great depression, tremendous unrest, persecution & revolution. And by "we", I mean North America & Europe & beyond. The US electorate overwhelmingly chose Franklin Delano Roosevelt to get us out of our economic mess, reduce inequality, employ the American people, unite against dire foreign threats, starting us on the greatest & longest streak of prosperity at all levels of income, all of which he did magnificently. Spain chose Franco, Italy chose Mussolini & Germany chose Hitler, who ruthlessly oppressed various domestic groups & invaded & took over neighboring countries.
We are at a crossroads & we have a choice of FDR (Bernie) or 1 of those brutal dictators (Trump, Cruz). Both sides resonate with American people, who realize that the system is rigged against them with corporations & a few very wealthy having all the riches, power & influence at the rest of our expense, Bernie appealing to our greatest hopes to make a better world & Trump & Cruz appealing to our greatest fears. Of course, there is also Hillary or an establishment Republican, but that means business as usual while all our problems continue to fester which will please no one but Wall Street & multinational megacorporations.
