Cathy McMorris Rodgers said in the most recent debate -Thursday Oct 6
I will be voting for Donald Trump. I believe he will bring the positive disruption that we need to see in our government.” —
Joe Pakootas had this to say last evening
As a husband, father & grandparent I am appalled & sickened by the vulgar comments spoken by my opponent's presidential candidate Donald Trump about women today. Most Americans are outraged & disgusted by this sick behavior. However, last night my opponent again expressed her unwavering support for Mr. Trump. It is beyond time for my opponent to demonstrate some moral courage & put integrity above party politics. I call upon her to stand up for women as a Christian & a leader & condemn this reprehensible behavior. He is not fit to be president & anyone who endorses a man like that does not deserve another term in the United States House of Representatives. I will make you proud if you send me to Washington as your Congressman.
With the firmness she has not exhibited throughout this election cycle, she now says, as quoted from the Seattle Times
“It is never appropriate to condone unwanted sexual advances or violence against women,” McMorris Rodgers, who represents Spokane and is the No. 4 Republican in the House, said in a prepared statement Friday evening. “Mr. Trump must realize that it has no place in public or private conversations.”
You know you weren’t expecting more.
Anything here or here??? nope.
Before her endorsement of him in May, just before the Washington primary-
She had previously criticized Trump in March for his long history of degrading remarks toward women.
“I think his comments regarding women and other comments, I find them inappropriate,” she told The New York Times at the time. “I find them hurtful and I think they are hurtful to the party, a party that has been founded on equal opportunity for all.”
Does she still support him? I guess will have to wait to see what her “leaders” do.
A spokesman for McMorris Rodgers did not respond Friday when asked if she still intends to vote for him.
The Spokesman Review has the story about Mike Crapo pulling his endorsement, but the word is Trump still has her support.
Another profile in cowardice!
GO JOE!
