Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s highly visible campaign manager, was nowhere to be found. Chris Christie must’ve been out getting donuts and coffee for team Trump. Rudy Giuliani was the only Republican willing to hit the Sunday talk show circuit to defend Donald Trump’s lewd remarks and pattern of sexual assault and/or inappropriate behavior.
Chuck Todd played additional audio (which you can hear below) of Donald Trump describing grossly inappropriate sexual predator behavior with female employees, especially the contestants of the Miss Universe pageant. Todd asked about the pattern of predator behavior and gave Giuliani just enough rope to hang himself:
BAM! The prosecution rests. What Chuck Todd was referring to was the many interviews Donald Trump did with Howard Stern, many of which feature Donald Trump openly discussing his predator behavior. Like this clip where Donald Trump brags that as the owner of the Miss Universe pageant, he’s allowed to walk into the women’s changing room to act like a total creep, ogling at the women while they changed. The audio and transcript below are just as troubling as the original Trump tape.
"Well, what you could also say is that, as the owner of the pageant, it's your obligation to do that," Trump said, before discussing how he got away with going backstage when the contestants were naked.
"Well, I'll tell you the funniest is that before a show, I'll go backstage and everyone's getting dressed, and everything else, and you know, no men are anywhere, and I'm allowed to go in because I'm the owner of the pageant and therefore I'm inspecting it," Trump said. "You know, I'm inspecting because I want to make sure that everything is good."
"You know, the dresses. 'Is everyone okay?' You know, they're standing there with no clothes. 'Is everybody okay?' And you see these incredible looking women, and so, I sort of get away with things like that. But no, I've been very good," he added.
Listen to creepy Trump in his own words:
That is only one of many, many appearances on the Howard Stern Show and a fraction of his lewd comments. One of the original producers of The Apprentice says far worse comments were recorded during the filming of the television show. The creator and owner of The Apprentice (along with the Survivor franchise) is Mark Burnett, an alleged pal of Donald Trump. Did he enable a bona fide sexual predator for the last 15 years on his shows?
And for what it’s worth, the rest of Giuliani’s Sunday shows appearances did not go any better. George Stephanopoulos was able to get Giuliani to say that yes, what Trump described was sexual assualt.
