It’s going to be critical for President Hillary Clinton to have a cooperative legislative body when she begins to govern in 2017. One of the things that we can do to help at DKos is to shine the spotlight on competitive house races and do everything we can to make Nancy Pelosi speaker once more.
According to the most recent Cook Report
cookpolitical.com/… there are 18 toss-up races and 13 lean Republican. The 31 seats are there for Dems to take back the House. We need the focus and energy toward that goal now at the grassroots level.
Darrel Issa who has spearheaded endless trivial witch hunts could be gone.
Obstructionist John Mica could be replaced with progressive Stephanie Murphy.
But if DKos isn’t tracking the house, it’s almost a self-fulfilling prophecy that Paul Ryan will inflict his supply-side gridlock upon the new president—the same president he said didn’t deserve a classified briefing when she won the nomination. The same Paul Ryan who has dithered and dithered regarding Donald Trump.
How do others feel?
Don’t you think we should be tracking the house instead of the Governor’s Races at the top of the page?
Thank you to everyone, and I’m sure that several people will post links to how DKos is tracking the House. I just think it should be front and center like the Governors’ races.
Thank you.
