I know this won’t be the most popular opinion on here, but I don’t take Donald Trump’s statement from him as one borne out of misogyny. First, Donald Trump clearly is a well-documented misogynist, that is not my argument at all. I would argue that this particular comment is borne out of Trump’s schoolyard bullying, impestuous, closeted inferiority and general insecurities.
But why would I think this?
Well, because “nasty’ is actually one of Trump’s favorite schoolyard comebacks when he has been threatened.
Politico, 01/17/16
The fracas between the Republican presidential front-runners escalated Sunday as Donald Trump went after Ted Cruz’s likability, calling the Texas senator a “nasty guy.”

The Post scrutinized the donations and found that $3.1 million has been distributed (and that doesn’t include the $1 million Trump said he’s putting up himself). But after making various inquiries about it, Trump then fulfilled it.
He explained the delay by saying, “You have a lot of vetting to do.”
And then, when reporter David Farenthold asked him a follow-up, Trump apparently blew a gasket:
When asked if the Monday donation was in response to questions from the news media, Trump said: “You know, you’re a nasty guy. You’re really a nasty guy. I gave out millions of dollars that I had no obligation to do.”
Christian Today, 5/10/16
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump struck back at evangelical leader Russell Moore on Monday, calling him a "nasty guy with no heart," after the latter compared his presidential run to "reality television moral sewage" a day earlier.

TRUMP: So with Mitt, I just wanted to say, it was very nasty. I did help him. I thought he was a better person than that. I actually had two fundraisers for him...
Clearly he is just a soft, scared, person who cannot handle being criticized. Now certainly at this point, it is really nitpicking about which of Trump’s awful traits are the one driving any particular action. And he is going to lose, very big. But to me the “nasty woman” highlighted just how much he is unfit in temperament, intelligence, composure and just outright maturity this man is for President. In temperament he cannot be civil, in intelligence he cannot respond to attacks, in composure he cannot keep his mouth shut and in maturity he is just a few years beyond calling someone a “doodyhead”.
It’s as if Donald Trump was given a word-a-day calendar and it is just “nasty”, “loser”, “sad” repeated over and over again.
And he is a also a huge NASTY misogynist.
