This is just sad…

HARWOOD: If you're a Republican senator, what will you find different about Chuck Schumer than Harry Reid?
SCHUMER: I'm not going to compare myself to Harry Reid, but you will find that Chuck Schumer's calling you up and saying, "What is on your mind? How can we work in a way that you and I can, or my caucus and your caucus can, agree on things?"
HARWOOD: If you encounter a situation where you can't get 60 votes for a Supreme Court nominee for a President Clinton, would you consider changing the rules?
SCHUMER: I hope we won't get to that. And I'll leave it at that.
HARWOOD: Would you say the same thing about a legislative filibuster?
SCHUMER: I'm not going to speculate about if we get to a bad place. I'm going to work hard to get to a good place.
Despite Obama doing everything possible to get Republican votes, he was opposed from Day 1. Despite Garland being obstructed, and McCain saying HRC gets NO nominees, Schumer (the expected majority leader) will not commit to the filibuster. He doesnt want to “think” about bad things...only good thoughts. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ????
The next congress will be just as obstructionist as the old one. THEY ARE ALREADY TELLING YOU THIS EXACT THING !!!!!
NO senator should support any majority leader in the senate who will not commit to ending the filibuster for ALL judicial nominees. Even if Garland gets in, HRC’s pick in the future will be filibustered.

UPDATE: Its not just McCain. Their base supports further obstruction. theweek.com/...
Now that it seems all but guaranteed that the next president will be a Democrat, some Republicans are taking their conviction further, saying they will not accept a nomination at all, even when Hillary Clinton is president. Earlier this week, John McCain became the first in the Senate to give voice to that line of thinking.
Many on the left are saying that this — not accepting any nomination for the Supreme Court — is beyond the pale. But I'm actually quite happy to see the Senate take such a stand against progressive nominees.
