Is anybody else here as sick of Paul Ryan as I am? His idiotic run for VP in 2012, his social net killing budgets, his craven pandering. He has been walking a desperate tightrope lately, grudgingly endorsing Trump, but criticizing him as needed, and refusing to appear in public with Trump. But that has changed, and Ryan has finally crossed the Rubicon. According to Politico.com Ryan will be appearing with Trump in public, in actual daytime, in the open on Saturday. It is the 1st Congressional District Republican Fall Fest. They tried their best to minimize The Great Pumpkin. In Ryan’s press release he highlighted people like Scott Walker, several state GOP powerhouses, and Senator Ron Johnson (whom I’ll skewer later over this). At the very bottom of the announcement they said;
"Presidential nominee, Donald J. Trump will also join Wisconsin Republicans" at the festival.
“All questions related to Mr. Trump should be directed to the Trump campaign," the release continued.
Nice try Paul, but it won’t work. You’ll be there, and Trump will be there, elbowing through the unwashed masses no doubt and looking for a camera, and you’re there at the same time. By Sunday morning you will be tied to Trump hip to hip.
Enter Ryan Solen! He is a veteran, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and left the military at a young age as a captain. A hero in other words. He is still young, and a father of four. He knows what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck, he’s one of us in other words. He has leadership skills, and knows what it means to compromise. Best of all, Ryan is not a career politician, and doesn’t want to be. He wants to serve, will not take corporate of PAC money, and will impose his own term limit.
Ryan’s positions are strong and clear. He wants to balance the budget, he wants universal health care, and he wants to invest in infrastructure. He wants to reform college tuition and student loan interest, and simplify the tax code. And oh yeah, he wants to protect and expand social security , expanding the tax cap to make upper bracket earners pay more and to mandate strict term limits on both Congress critters and Senators. Anything I missed?
Got the picture here? Ryan Solen is not trying to go to Washington for his benefit, he wants to go there for ours. And we can help him. Trump is not the most popular man in Wisconsin, some local conservative media, led by radio host Charlie Sykes are never Trump. Trump took his worst loss in the primaries in Wisconsin, getting creamed by Ted Cruz. On Saturday Paul Ryan will marry himself to Mein Furor politically. We can’t waste this opportunity! Hopefully Ryan can make an anchor out of Trump on Ryan’s neck.

Call me Don Quixote, but I believe Ryan can do this. Not just because of Paul Ryan’s terrible record, but because of Ryan Solen’s incredible passion, honor and duty to commitment. Let’s at least give him a shot!
