I despise post-mortems from the losing sides. I haven't read a single post (or heard a single voice in my own heart) that wasn't just a whole lot of thrashing around.
Here's a post-mortem for us to repeat: Hillary Clinton won 200,000 more votes than the con man.
So I’m not convinced there’s a soul alive that could at this date tell us What Went Wrong. And it sure won’t emerge from an internet rant.
The GOP did a post-mortem in 2012 observing that they'd have to find a way to get more Hispanics and Blacks to vote their way, or they'd never win again.
The smart GOPs said "Screw that. Suppress enough of their votes and we could even elect Donald Trump! Haw!!!”
I am not techie enough to know this for sure, but I keep reading that block-chain technology applied to voting would prevent voter fraud, which is an especially great worry if internet voting is ever adopted. Further, it would also prevent most voter suppression. That is, implemented properly, you can just vote from your phone. And know your vote goes to the candidate you choose. Suppress that.
All this is castles in the air, however. The GOP will always block any way to guarantee fair elections. Otherwise they’d have to get real jobs.
