I’m going to the Board of Elections to change my registration from Democratic to Unaffiliated.
None of you people learned ANYTHING from this loss. Instead I see heads-in-the-sand denial, deflection, and a whole lot of hatred directed at people who simply supported a different candidate. According to the Clinton fan club on here their savior did nothing wrong despite all of the evidence pointing to the contrary.
If you’re going to keep attacking regular working class people by throwing SJW temper tantrums instead of listening to them, you’re going to keep losing. Maybe if you didn’t call millions of voters “Bernie Bros” or “Obama boys” or tens-of-millions of voters “deplorable” you would have held on to some of those votes. Maybe if you actually listened and paid attention to what was happening in the rust belt states you may have held on to a couple of them. Maybe if you stopped blaming Russia or the FBI or every white person for your candidate’s flaws you could have had a better plan to overcome them?
You know why Clinton won by 4 million votes? Name recognition, a rigged media, rigged DNC, and a LOT of sexism. Also a lot of ageism. Also some anti-Semitism. See, I can play the SJW card too! Too bad the full electorate includes Independents who are turned off by that and don’t like corruption either...
Good news for you is that the Democratic brand isn’t completely dead. While Hillary lost North Carolina by 200,000 votes, Roy Cooper won by 4,000 votes. Other Dems down ballot had mixed results in spite of our terrible candidate on top of the ticket.
I held my nose and voted for Clinton. Heck, I even worked on her campaign! Then I come back here and see all of the same bullshit from people on here. What’s worse is that instead of reflecting on what went wrong or listening to the people from the Bernie team who tried explaining what happened, you plugged your ears and screamed at us just like you did six months ago! Some people on here listened and would be worth working with but the vast majority on this site is stuck in a state of denial and deflection.
You lost not only a diligent volunteer and campaign worker, but a contributor to local parties. I was a county party officer, a precinct chair in multiple counties, and active in several auxiliary groups. I personally knocked on hundreds of doors and made thousands of phone calls. I registered hundreds of new voters. I went to SEC meetings and worked with candidates across many races. Maybe a party that respects me as a human instead of attacking me for my gender and skin will earn my support. Not this party.
Go ahead and ban me. I’m not coming back. Why waste my time speaking to people who don’t listen?
I’m done. Good luck holding seats next year.
