The GOP went to a dark place when it nominated Donald Trump and now many Republicans like Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania have simply gone dark on the matter. Don't try asking them what they are planning to do when they exercise the most basic of democratic functions: voting. Five days away from the big day, Toomey says he still doesn't know what he'll do on Election Day. Poor thing. WTXF reports:
Thursday morning on Good Day Philadelphia, Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley asked Toomey point-blank whether he would vote for Donald Trump, despite his misgivings.
Toomey did not answer the question. [...]
When asked if he would announce his decision to supporters [...] before Election Day, Toomey says he "probably will."
“Probably”? Man, what a vision in leadership. Not only does he not know who he’s voting for, he doesn’t even know if he’ll tell people who he’s voting for. C’mon, Toomey—you can't nominate the most divisive nominee in recent memory, watch him tear down the party, the system, the voters, and our democracy, and then remain agnostic on the matter out of political expedience. This is exactly the type of leadership the GOP has brought to the Senate—when something is terribly, inescapably wrong, they go into hiding. Cowards.
Will you pitch in $3 to help elect Katie McGinty and turn the Senate blue. The future of the Supreme Court is riding on it.
