Donald Trump’s transition team is getting serious about who to appoint to his cabinet and other major administration roles when his 12 percent chance of winning becomes a reality. Boy, does a Trump administration look fun:
Among the names being considered, according to conversations with three campaign advisers who requested anonymity to speak freely: Rudy Giuliani for attorney general, Newt Gingrich for secretary of state, retired Lt. Gen Michael Flynn for defense secretary or national security adviser, Trump finance chairman Steve Mnuchin for Treasury secretary, and Republican National Committee finance chair Lew Eisenberg for commerce secretary.
Having Giuliani as attorney general would eliminate the need for President Trump to put inappropriate political pressure on his attorney general to prosecute Hillary Clinton. And Secretary of State Gingrich, because the key to diplomacy is self-satisfied bloviation. Additionally, Reince Priebus is being seriously considered for White House chief of staff, a thought that must have him escalating from Baileys in his cereal to cyanide in his coffee. One of Trump’s prominent endorsers seems to be left out of the party, though:
It's not clear [Chris] Christie is being considered for a significant role in a potential administration either.
Not even transportation secretary?
Attorney General Rudy Giuliani. Secretary of State Newt Gingrich. If this is not the nightmare that will inspire you to get out the vote, I’m not sure what is.
