In 2012 129,085,403 people voted for President.
In 2016 125,300,336 people voted for President.
A difference of 3.785 million people, they stayed home. If it wasn’t for Gary johnson, Trump would have won by 3+ million votes.
Jill Steins 1.2 million votes did little harm to Hillary, 30 more electoral votes from 4 states where Jill’s votes could have put Hillary over the top still leaves Hillary at 258.
Having 3.7 million voters not voting did the most harm. Please focus on that. We all know that when turnout is high, Democrats win. Blaming the refs because your football team lost is not classy, your team needs to score more touchdowns.
The Democratic Party is the big tent party, the party of inclusiveness. We represent the vast majority of Americans when it comes to bread and butter, middle class, Main St, issues.
Yeah we screwed up, to the tune of 3.7 million votes. And there is enough blame to go around, starting with Hillary, but lets not choose that route. Whether a sports team of a project team in a corporation, when something goes wrong, you do a postmortem, learn the lesson from the postmortem and you move ahead.
Stay classy my friends and remember some of us are already working on 2018.
