Every morning, for as long as I can, I tune into C-Span and their Washington Journal. It starts at 7 a.m. est, and runs until 10 a.m. est. Some mornings I cannot listen at all, other mornings I get to listen a bit and some a bit longer.
This morning, I tuned in, I had a bit of time, and when I was preparing to leave, I was simultaneously listening. I didn’t get to hear the entire interview, but I think I heard “enough”.

Here is what I heard from him, as an American Enterprise Institute Official: Give every resident $13,000 per year as a guaranteed “income”. Every resident includes every child, adult, senior. i.e. every person. Deduct from that $3,000 per year for health coverage; leaving every resident $10,000 per year guaranteed income.
With this “guaranteed income”, every person could then earn an additional $30,000 per year, tax free.
With that guaranteed annual income, provided by government of $13,000 per year, diminished by $3,000 for health care, would come with the thought that Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Welfare, Section 8 Housing, and any and all “social” benefits would be eliminated.
This individual, as I had time to listen, as I was preparing to leave work, suggested that $10,000 per year, guaranteed, without any other social benefits, would provide all of us the opportunity, to find others we could “merge” with the increase household wealth to $20,000 and perhaps a third to increase that to $30,000.
I wish I had the time to watch in its entirety, and I likely will over the next few days, but since the AEI, and its compatriot, the Heritage Foundation, push their agenda through, somehow or another, I think this “thought” might likely be the “next” “new” thing major parties of both stripes might be pushing...sort of like “ObamaCare”.
