From Politico
Donald Trump’s newly tapped White House communications director, Jason Miller, backed out of the job following claims that he had an affair with another transition official, according to three sources close to the Trump transition.
Two days after his appointment as communications director was announced, Miller told POLITICO on Christmas Eve that he was stepping down because the White House job would be too demanding at a time when he needed to devote attention to his family. He and his wife are expecting their second child next month.
The NY Daily News almost scooped Politico:
Donald Trump’s inner circle was thrown into turmoil Saturday when his newly-named White House communications director resigned after a transition team staffer posted cryptic tweets suggesting he’s a philanderer.
Jason Miller announced that he won’t be joining the Trump administration just two days after he was tapped to lead the White House communications team.
Miller said in a statement that he wanted to spend more time with his family.
So long, good riddance, Jason Miller. Unfortunately, A.J. Delgado still comes out of this tawdry story as a presumably sweet smelling shameless story-telling shill for Trump.
Oh well, I guess this is a small Christmas gift. We won’t have to see Jason Miller lying for Trump for the next four years. Instead he can go home and explain to his pregnant wife and family why he lied to them.

Here’s another hint I found on a Daily Beast story:
On the 22nd—the day Spicer, Miller, and she were named to their administration posts—incoming counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway was interviewed on the Fox Business network. Asked how she would balance work and family life, Conway responded, “I don’t play golf and I don’t have a mistress, so I have a lot of time that these other men don’t.” www.thedailybeast.com/...

So far as I can tell MSM here isn’t going as far as Politico in stating the reason Miller resigned, or speculating on the reason as in The NY Daily News. Not so in New Zealand: www.nzherald.co.nz/...
The fact that we know is in the timing. We don’t now for certain he had an affair. We do know that he quit after AJ Delgado hinted (I would say strongly suggested) that he was having an affair.
A lesser but significant hint came from Kellyanne Conway (above).
