I know, all new music is horrible, not like when you were young. Back then they knew how to make music, and everyone wore an onion on their belt, as it was the style at the time. But here’s some music that’s come out this year that actually doesn’t suck, and sometimes it’s nice to take a little break from all the politics.
The Deltahorse, Transatlantic
First up is The Deltahorse’s Transatlantic. The Deltahorse is an indietronic group from Boston, Berlin and Belfast (They had never actually met in person, recording their music via filesharing). Some of you may be familiar with the saxophone player, Dana Colley. He’s best known as the sax player for Morphine. Anyways, it’s some damn good music.
You can listen to the full album on Spotify. If you have Spotify.

The Claypool Lennon Delerium, Monolith of Phobos
Les Claypool teaming up with Sean Lennon. It sounds pretty much how you think it would sound.

Imelda May, whose new album has yet to be released.
Imelda May, who is a pretty big deal on the other side of the pond, and for those into rockabilly, has some new music out. Her album isn’t out yet, but there is a single, which is very, very different from her usual stuff, which is a good thing, not because her old stuff was bad, but it’s always good to hear an artist explore new territory.
Greg Graffin, upcoming and as yet unnamed solo album
So, in case you don’t know, Greg Graffin is the singer of Bad Religion, a punk band that’s been around since 1979. He’s also got a PhD in zoology, and does some teaching and writing. Anyways, he has a new album coming out, and here’s the first song he’s released from it, a song originally by Norman Blake.
Ok, so that’s about it that I can think of, if you can think of more stuff, feel free to add it in the comments.
