The balance of the supreme court changed the day Antonin Scalia died. I can understand that some Republican senators would like to change that back, but think they may not be able to. That's not really a good reason to avoid carrying out their constitutionally mandated responsibilities though.
Now they are saying they won't do their jobs until they get their way? Well that's nothing new either.
