I typed this on my phone this morning to burn off steam and did not expect this response. I had an afternoon meeting cancelled so I did a couple of things. First, I dug around in a political science database and found no evidence that Internet access predicts being politically informed. I did find that low-info voters are less likely to show up at the polls. I doubt they’d vote in the primary anyway. Next, I ran a correlation between the percentage of the vote received by sanders (as reported by the NY times) and the percentage of state residents who have high speed internet access (as recorded by the US Census bureau). The correlation was not significant. LET. THIS. GO.
