Our first crowd fund project raised over $468 for 10,000 pieces of 4 x 6 color glossy Westchester 4 Bernie Lit. (Seen here on the right). Hundreds of these Bernie Flyers have been handed out at the Chappaqua train station, right in Hillary’s hometown. For our efforts we got some great earned media. Phil Reisman of the Westchester Journal News wrote a great piece found here.
The Communications Workers of America endorsed Bernie in mid December, I gave Joe Mayhew of the CWA local 1103, 500 of these flyers for his membership to handout.
Our second crowd fund project will fund the purchase of 500 W4B buttons, printed at a union shop, they will cost $430. As of this morning we’ve raised $180.
Here’s our plan, roughly half of these buttons will go to canvassers on the ground, the other half will be sold for $3, the proceeds will go to funding 500 Westchester 4 Bernie lawn signs.
When we make voter ID calls, we generate a list of Bernie supporters. Then we filter the list for the residential streets that get a lot of traffic in the AM & PM rush hours. Every neighborhood has these shortcuts that feed into main commercial streets.
By putting lawn signs on these streets we avoid the visual clutter of lawn signs in all the favorite intersections. In a few weeks all of these major intersections will be filled with Trump & Hillary signs, and it makes no sense to add to the visual clutter. This tactic brings the best bang for the buck.
For every donation of $60 or more you will be mailed 3 W4B buttons as a bernspark PERK. Our deadline for the project is March 31st.
