No, not of Donald Trump. Be afraid of "Lyin' Ted" Cruz.
Back when there were still seventeen clowns in the clown car I wrote (and never published) a ranking of the danger each would pose for the country should he or she accede to the presidency. At the top of the list of those hopefuls was, and still is, the world's own lovable Ted Cruz. Scott Walker was No. 2, but thankfully the Koch brothers pulled their not insufficient funding early on, apparently recognizing they were putting their eggs in the wrong basket. The others in the clown car, including Donald Trump, paled in comparison with these two.
But why is Ted Cruz so dangerous? Donald Trump knows one reason, which is why he refers to him as Lyin' Ted. Cruz will say anything to get what he wants, including telling bald-faced lies that less informed people may not recognize (like non-existent or distorted statistics), but his willingness to lie is really only a symptom of one of the three major dangers he presents. The first of these is the fact that Cruz is very intelligent; the second is that he is very shrewd. And, finally, the most dangerous of all is that he is a psychopath.
A word of explanation: The term psychopath is essentially synonymous with the more recent terms, sociopath and antisocial personality. Such individuals are actually very good at "reading" other people and telling them what they want to hear, but at the same time they lack empathy and see others, not as people, but as objects to manipulate in order to attain their own selfish goals. That is what makes them so dangerous; they seek power over others in any form and by any means.
Ted's latest scam was the ill-fated and short-lived collusion between Cruz and Kasick to gang up on Trump. In fact, for all Democrats and Independents, the safest bet is to hope Trump gets the requisite number of delegates to win the nomination outright. If he doesn't. the nation's worst nightmare may just come about. At least with Trump, you know what you’re getting.
