Embattled Michigan Governor Rick Snyder needs lawyers. Lots of them. Lots of lawyers doing all kinds of law work in order to make sure Governor Snyder doesn’t have to:
- Lose his job.
- Owe people money.
- Go to jail.
Considering the fact that Governor Rick Snyder has poisoned his citizens’ water supply, that is a tall task. On top of the list of things you are supposed to do as Governor of a state is MAKE SURE YOUR CITIZENS’ DRINKING WATER IS NOT POISON. But, as people around these here parts know, “progressives” are sticklers for non-poisoned drinking water—it’s a cross we must all bear.
Details released by Snyder's office Thursday provide the hourly rates for attorneys. The highest-paid attorney will make $540 per hour.
The State Bar of Michigan in a 2014 study looked at the previous year's hourly billing rates. In 2013, the median hourly billing rate for an attorney in Michigan was $245 per hour. In the Lansing area, that median was $230 per hour.
[Bold is me rubbing the bridge of my nose so that my eyes don’t shoot fire]
Snyder’s office is saying these attorneys are handling the Freedom of Information Act requests for discovery. Lord knows, with the emails already released, you know that Republican officials in Michigan are trying to keep a lot of their choice moments under wraps. Listen, all of these legal forms going to the federal government need to be handled by professionals. Remember Republicans only believe in spending money to cover up the mess they create when they cut teachers and nurses and other professionals’ salaries.

I might have to go back to school to study corrupt political official law. There’s a lot of good work out there if you have that degree.
