As reported by ABC/CNBC/IBT/MSNBC, Iran says that Boeing Officials will visit Iran next week. My question is, what for? Didn’t Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and the rest of the Republican Party tell us that Iran was going to use the unfrozen money from the Iran Deal to fund terrorists around the world?
Is Boeing a Terrorist organization?
Boeing was once the largest supplier of civilian aircraft to Iran before the country's 1979 Islamic revolution. Iran is seeking to renovate its national fleet by purchasing 80 to 90 aircraft yearly until the fleet is replenished. The estimated cost is $20 billion. Iran hopes to purchase an equal number of aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. However, there is a huge impediment to Iran’s Boeing wishes. Donald Trump said that the U.S. got nothing from the Iran Deal. Absolutely nothing! Let me think, Boeing could go from having no share in the Iranian Civilian Aircraft market to the possibility of providing half of the aircraft needed to modernize Iran’s civil and commercial aircraft fleets, and that according to Mr. Trump equals zero. Wow, you certainly do need a degree from Wharton School of Business along with a certificate from the Trump University, School (of BS), in order to understand that math.
How much are you willing to bet that the majority of Boeing employees and shareholders are Republican? How much are you willing to bet that they are ready to vote for Donald Trump or Ted Cruz even in light of the fact that both have pledged to “tear up” the Iran Deal if either is elected? I’m reminded when Trump said he would send 30 thousand troops to the Middle East to fight ISIS and the audience gave him a huge round of applause without ever thinking that the troops that he will send over will be the middle to low income wage earners, their kids, and love ones; many of whom were cheering him both in that audience, or watching, or listening to him elsewhere. Rest assured that Donald Jr, Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, or Barron Trump will not be in the ranks of those fighters.
I don’t know what to believe anymore. Should I believe the Mullahs in Iran? Is Boeing really going to Iran to discuss supplying aircraft? Or should I believe the Mullahs here in the U.S. who say everything is going to hell in a hand basket?
