It might look something like this...
Republican extremist Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders (under the guise of being a Democrat) will pal up to cut down Hillary Clinton (who won’t be there) so they can plant more lies about Hillary into the minds of the American people. It works for both of them, but not for the American people.
Trump and the GOP’s goal is to get Hillary off the ballot with any and all means they possess, because they know they can’t beat her. If they somehow pull it off, they would come after Bernie with a can of whoop ass that would shock even the most politically savvy. A number of Bernie supporters have a little idea of what a GOP attack on their candidate might look like should there somehow be a Democratic nominee upset. But Bernie has never received the kind of attacks and/or scrutiny Hillary has received over a period of decades, and she continues to be exonerated. For Bernie, a GOP attack would expose parts of his past that even he might have forgotten. And lies will be told on top lies that Bernie wouldn’t be able to fight fast enough in order to avoid a wicked Democratic loss in November.
But real attacks against Bernie would never happen unless/until Hillary is out of the picture, and she’s not going anywhere. And if this debate happens, it will most likely backfire against Bernie and only drive more people to respect and support Hillary Clinton all the more.
This is my opinion, and I’ve never been more disappointed with Bernie Sanders than I am right now. I have written a good number of pro-Bernie Sanders pieces dating all the way back to 2013. They’ve also been cross-posted on several other sites. I’m stunned at what I’ve seen him become and can only hope Bernie will come back to his senses and prove he is the man many of us thought him to be.
Yes, I’m spitting mad because every day that goes by, the party division widens bringing us closer to a Trump win and a GOP extremist majority in the Supreme Court—a little closer to war and legitimized bigotry, racism, misogyny and hatred, all ruing the day. And with every day that goes by, my respect, admiration and support for Hillary Rodham Clinton grows to more than I ever imagined.
Here Bernie’s tweet:
Bad call, Bernie.
For the record, should there be a strange upset and Bernie somehow acquires the Democratic nomination, knowing what’s at stake, and with all my might, I would support and help him beat Donald Trump or any GOP candidate. Right now — right this minute, I have zero respect left for Bernie Sanders.
