In spite of numerous doom and gloom predictions and Clinton’s inevitability (trying not to vomit here) Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) has just won Indiana per a call by AP, NYT, MSNBC and now CNN.
The current margin is 52.5 — 47.5. I do not expect that margin to significantly change, although Sanders may increase it slightly due to several decent sized counties that are only 20 to 60% reporting.
Some exit poll results:
- Sanders won voters under 30 by a 72 — 28 margin.
- Sanders won voters under 45 by a 66 — 34 margin.
- Black voters backed Clinton by a 76 — 24 margin.
- White voters backed Sanders by a 57 — 43 margin.
- Nonwhite voters backed Clinton by a 64 — 36 margin.
- Nonwhite voters under 45 backed Sanders by a 53 — 47 margin.
- Men backed Sanders by a 56 — 44 margin.
- Women backed Clinton by a narrow 51 — 49 margin.
- Clinton won voters over 65 by a 67 — 33 margin.
- Clinton won Democrats 54 — 46.
- Sanders crushed Clinton among Independents 70 — 30.
- Union workers supported Sanders by a 54 — 46 margin.
- Clinton won married voters 53 — 47.
- Sanders won non — married voters 58 — 42.
If you support Sanders and have a few dollars to give, send it to him in a money-bomb!
