Transcripts — Building the Archive
TrueBlueMajority agreed to allow the three speeches she has already transcribed to be placed in our Transcripts Archive. I placed one there, so now we have two. (See links below under “About the Community Transcripts Project.”)
Nominations — Thank you
DocDawg nominated a short speech of Rev. Dr. William Barber II for transcription. “When the Stones Come Together.” DocDawg said “Here’s an even more moving Barber speech which is well deserving of transcription … although the catch there would be that no transcript could possibly capture its powerful emotional content.” Thanks, DocDawg! … Where was this speech given?
I will be able to transcribe that soon.
By your nominations, our archive will grow.
Donations — Thank you
Two Kossacks have donated to our Community Transcripts Project. This heartens and encourages me, because we have not formally started a fundraising campaign. I should have known Kossacks would step forward to support our project without even being asked to do so. This tells us a lot about our amazing community. Thank you to the early adopters.
Notes on Organizing
Still a lot of organizing to do. Calling in the core groups, corresponding with experts, organizing databases and records, creating machines of productivity, planting seeds, dreaming.
Question of the Day:
What do you think and feel about the Community Transcripts Project?
(No rush to respond. Two or three sentences would be great, use your poetic license if you need to. If okay with you, I could use your comment to inform people about the Community Transcripts Project. No pressure.)
