I hate to write about this guy, because he’s really just a troll who seeks attention. Trolls, however, rely on not having a history. Trump has a long history.
This story from 1988 is just too good to pass up.
Gorbachev was coming to the US for a historic visit, and Trump wanted to be the point man for capitalism. Leading up to the event, he bragged about the fact that a world leader was going to see him.

Despite declaring that he’d met Gorbachev in 1987, he somehow couldn’t tell the difference when he shook fake “Gorby’s” hand.
Tours by Trump- Gorbachev to see NY Tower
NEW YORK — Mikhail Gorbachev, Communist, will see how the other half lives during his visit to New York next week.
Donald Trump, capitalist, will show him.
The two plan to get together for a tour of Trump Tower, the glittering condo-shopping center-office complex on Fifth Avenue.
The Soviet leader asked for a peek inside the peach marble atrium, Trump said yesterday.
"It's a great honor for me," Trump said. "His office called and said it was one of the places he wanted to see. Most likely I'll show him the atrium, maybe my office, and a few apartments."
It is just too perfect that Trump went through the fanfare of hyping this event, and then it turned out to be an impersonator who handed out his business card so that people could hire him for their events and parties.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Hundreds of police who sealed off the Soviet Mission for Mikhail Gorbachev's visit didn't deter protesters or other bystanders, including a ''Gorby'' look-alike who briefly fooled the media and Donald Trump.
When the real Soviet leader arrived Tuesday at the mission on Manhattan's fashionable Upper East Side, he waved from his limousine at the crowds. The car then disappeared into a ramp to an underground garage.
But 30 minutes before Gorbachev's arrival, Ronald V. Knapp caused a bigger commotion among the hundreds of people milling through nearby streets.
Knapp, the spitting image of Gorbachev down to what looked like a wine- colored birthmark on his head, drove up a block away from the mission in a silver stretch limousine. As confused media members scrambled for their cameras and notepads, Knapp stood on the corner speaking through an interpreter.
The message from the interpreter was simple: He distributed business cards informing everyone how they could hire Knapp by contacting his agent.
Trump appears to have no idea that he’s meeting with an impersonator.
