Received this e-mail today from Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick’s (D. AZ) U.S. Senate campaign:
If I refused to wait my tables for 97 days back when I was a waitress in the White Mountains of Eastern Arizona, I wouldn’t have earned enough to buy the boots I’ve had forever. (Yes, the ones in the logo.) I’d have been out of a job.
Almost anyone would be fired if they ignored their job for 97 days. But John McCain and Senate Republicans are doing just that.
It’s been more than three months since Judge Merrick Garland was nominated to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court. And for more than three months, McCain and his colleagues have refused to do their constitutional duty.
Not one hearing has been held. Not one vote has been taken. It’s far past time that changed.
I’m joining forces with allies across the country to turn up the pressure on the Senate to take action. Will you add your name?
Thank you!
Ann
