I think it’s safe to say we’re going to have a female President for the first time. Might be safest to not take anything for granted though, and hedge our bet by filling up the down ballot races with women as well. Dr. Reid Sr., of 90for90 explained to me that’s the way to win elections.
Some people might not care about the Presidential candidate, it’s too far removed from their lives; but they might know their Congress critter, State Representative, City Council Member, Circuit Court Judge or Dog Catcher.
One of those candidates may be their neighbor, a co worker, or their children's former teacher. There’s a good chance they’ll come out to vote for someone they know and while they’re in the voting booth, what the heck, they might as well vote for everyone on the ballot.
When I got cancer and the lovely Bank of America jumped at the chance to foreclose on my house, it was my Congressman who helped me. Except it wasn’t really him personally. He did have a program set up, and still does, that can be easily found on his website for foreclosure assistance. It was Brenda Wynn, who worked in his office at the time, who actually helped saved my house. So you can better believe when she ran for County Clerk, I voted for her and made sure all my friends did too. She won!
You can help Secretary Clinton secure a place in history by writing about some of the amazing female candidates running down ballot.
My go to source for candidates is here.

Wow! That’s a lot of women and that’s not even all of them. That’s not even all of the women who are supporters of 90for90, it’s just that my linking finger is tired. There are many more female candidates, including those in state and local races.
Wouldn’t it be WAY cool to see the rec list filled up with diaries about these women? I think we can do it. Pick a candidate from your state, the state you went to school in, the state you wished you lived in, or just close your eyes, point and pick. But, PLEASE write an article about a female candidate.
It will help all the women here on Daily Kos (and men too), all the women in the United States and especially it will help the woman at the head of the ticket for the Democratic Party, the Presidential Nominee, Hillary Clinton. Right? Write!
