I was following some of the commentary in the open thread about the Paul Simon performance at the DNC and something made me want to find this video by Paul Weis (set to Paul Simon’s Homeward Bound) that aired some 40 years ago on Saturday Night Live.
It’s a simple video, probably shot in a New York airport, of people returning home for Christmas and greeting their loved ones. I haven’t seen the video since it first aired and in the first few moments I began missing the kisses of my departed grandmother and aunts when I went to visit them in Chicago...
