Lean forward, my ass.
I have stopped watching MSNBC’s convention coverage, and I won’t turn it back on. CSPAN or NPR for me, if I turn on the television at all.
Why?
When you watch the actual videos of the speeches and events, you see the vast majority of Democratic delegates and participants cheering, stomping their feet, and raising rowdy hell in a good way, in support of Hillary Clinton, the nominee. There are scattered boos and chants and heckling from a few knots of assclowns (formerly known as “extremist Bernie supporters” — they don’t get to call themselves Bernie supporters now that their candidate has enthusiastically thrown his support to Clinton, and requested repeatedly that they do so as well). Were they disruptive? Absolutely, but they were a sidebar at their strongest. Sarah Silverman called them “ridiculous” (and got torched on her Facebook page by a horde of vicious assclowns who emulated the worst of Stormfront). Bernie asked them to think about the repercussions of a Trump presidency. But what were the biggest stories from last night?
Powerful and amazing speeches from Sanders, Michelle Obama, Al Franken, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and more. Huge, full-throated crowd responses. Moving presentations from undocumented immigrants and Latinx activists.
What do you see on MSNBC? Chaos! Division! Disunity! Lengthy analyses of how mad a few assclown delegates are. Interviews with said assclowns. Analyses of said interviews. Interviews with ignorant assclowns outside, who are given plenty of time to tell us how corrupt Hillary is and how they intend to vote for Stein. Breathless speculations about what kind of Chaos! and Disunity! we can expect tonight.
I can’t embed this, but here’s a video from MSNBC featuring a Vermont delegate for Sanders who insisted that Sanders was being disrespected because he was given the closing speech for the night. Idiot.
No more. Fuck off, MSNBC.

Grateful to make the rec list. I was actually hoping that it would make the list for one reason: maybe someone at MSNBC would see this and pass the word up the line that they are pissing us off and losing viewers. I know, I know, they won’t care.

Just finished watching one of the most magnificent speeches I've ever seen from the Big Dog, a great combination of Southern-style storytelling, a loving reminiscence of their 41-year marriage, and a politically expert reframing and recharacterization of Hillary (#TheRealOne, sheer genius).
Rachel, Schmidt and the other fucktrumpets shit all over it.
Fuck you, MSNBC.
