Hello, I has been brought to the thought that guns are a drug. These are self medications and issues have to do with behavioral and possibly mental illness. People who have fear, paranoia, helplessness, anger and other related issues purchase the gun and it makes the owner feel better. How ever, after a while the owner needs another fix and buys yet another weapon, another fix as it were. When confronted they act like most any drug addicts spinning elaborate, irrational theories as to why they should be justified to continue with their habit, that they are a victim, as to why you make them feel threatened and similar excuses as to why they are not addicts. This is why the serious addict ends up with an arsenal and believe that all problems big and small can be solving by the application of a firearm as it has become the center of their life and how they define themselves. They become slaves to their addiction. Treatment of gun addiction sound challenging as opioid addicts do not have a constitutional right to their drugs. Would this mean that the NRA is the nation's gun drug kingpin al la organized crime?
