This week was supposed to be all about immigration for the Trump campaign.
He was going to give a big immigration speech in Denver. But now it’s just a fundraising trip. The speech “is still being modified”.
He was going to have a big rally in Las Vegas. But that's been cancelled, too.
And then there was his rally and fundraiser in Portland, Oregon, both of which are cancelled, ostensibly due to a change in his schedule to allow him to visit flood-ravaged Louisiana.
Could be nothing. Could be that he’s still pushing back on his advisers’ plans to change his immigration stance. Or could be a sign that the campaign is pulling back from states seen as out of reach.
Your guess is as good as (or, more likely, better than) mine.
